A pinch is about 10–15 threads; roughly 2–3 threads per serving.

How do I use saffron threads?

Bloom them: crush lightly, steep in 2–3 tablespoons of warm water or milk for 15–20 minutes, then use the liquid and the threads.

Saffron gradually loses potency over time. Store it properly, buy fresh, and use it while it's at its best.
